About Dr. Monik Kalia

I am a Clinical and Forensic Psychologist registered with:

The College of Psychologists of Ontario and,
Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology.

I received Ph.D. in Psychology in 2001. The area of my doctoral research was criminal recidivism. My practice includes mental health assessment, risk assessment, personality evaluation, and treatment. I have been qualified by the courts as an expert witness. I am also a psychology member of the Ontario Review Board.

I provide forensic assessment and treatment services to adults, adolescents and children. Whether I am appointed by the court as an expert, retained by a lawyer or a Children’s Aid Society, I strive to present an objective, unbiased, and balanced picture of an individual during forensic assessment and treatment. My training in the area of sex offender work is with Dr. Ron Langevin, a pioneer in quality research in assessment and treatment of sex offenders.
